Will I make my adr?

OK so I was not thinking. We are switching hotels (mid vacation) from one all star to another in order to get FD. I made an ADR at 7:30 a.m. for Chef Mickeys on the same day that we are checking into ASMU on the day we get the FD (Aug 24th) Will we have another time to actually make our ressies or should I try to reschedule?

JMHO - If you are going to use one of your free dining credits, I would definitely reschedule. Here is why. Last year we stayed at POR for free dining and arrived one day early. Disney will not issue you your free dining cards until the day free dining starts, which will mean you checking in at ASMU first. Last year, I went to the front desk at 7:00 when they opened for check-ins just like they had told me and there were at least 100 people in line! Concierge was able to help me as I was already a guest there, but you could be facing a massive check-in line at ASMU because a lot of people will be doing the same thing as you. If you are paying OOP for CM, then go for it and check in after. HTH

By the way, I will be checking in at ASMU on the 24th for free dining as well. See you there.

I agree with the previous poster. They say to allow at least an hour for transportation. In your case you would have to leave your new resort at 6:30am, catch a bus to MK, then either walk over to the CR or use the monorail. I don't think you can get checked into your new resort and get out to the bus stop that early (which you MUST do to get your dining credits).

Last spring I decided to check out of my resort on my last day, thnking I could easily get my boarding pass from the Magic Express desk and still make my 8:30am ADR at Crystal Palace. When I got down there very early that morning, I was shocked at the really long line already there. In your case there will be other people trying to do the exact same thing you are.
