So my flight lands at 3:20.
I'm checking into the Pop Century Resort
and have dinner ADR's at Kona Cafe at 6:45.
oh and we are renting a car, not Magical Express.
Will I make it?

I would say it depends on your check-in process, and Magical Express. It always seems to take us around 3 hours to get to our resort and get checked in, but times vary. Then you need to get to the Poly.

I think you might make it. Since you have a car, you can skip WDW transport and that will help. To be on the safe side, you might want to push your adr back a little maybe to 730 if possible. I would suggest that one person if possible goes to the car rental place while the other gets the luggage. It will help speed things along.

Have you considered calling and seeing if you could slip your reservation from 6:45 to 7:15 or 7:30? An extra 30 or 45 minutes might be very helpful just in case.

i really don't want to push the ADR back further because I have a 3 year old and 1 year old. It's going to be a long day for them traveling anyhow.
And as is by the time we get done with dinner and back at the room it will be about 8pm or later.

I think since you'll have a car, you can make it. But if you feel like you are running late leaving the airport (late flight, slow luggage, ect) then why not just check in after dinner? There's no rule that says it has to be the first thing you do when you show up on property :D

Thanks Phedre, that's actually a really good idea. It makes sense but I never thought of it.
The kids will probably be hungry anyhow by the time we leave the airport.
And the resturant opens at 5pm so maybe we can get a early seating.
Thanks again.

If your flight lands on time, at 3:20, and you get your rental car in a timely fashion, you should be at POP by 5:00 at the latest. You should be able to check in and put your bags in your room and be back at your car by 6:00. Then, drive to the Polynesian. It shouldn't be too hard to make it.
Even if you used DME it should be doable..it's the bus to MK then transferring to a boat or the monorail that would take up the time. If you have your own car, you should be okay.

You should be fine. We landed around 3:20pm and took Magical Express to POP (I THINK we got to POP around 4:30 or so). We had an ADR for 7:15pm - but we had PLENTY of time. We got checked in, hit the pool for a little while, and we were still killing some time before having to leave for Ohana.

If you are getting your own car, you'll be OK

That was going to be my suggestion too, unless you're on a dining plan, they you'd have to check-in first.

I agree with the PP, as long as your flight is on time, you should be fine with your own transportation.

Bring your ADR# with you to the Poly. The guard will often look it up to confirm you have a ressie before letting you in. Having the number will save you time.

Have fun!
