Will I have time to...

Staying at POFQ. Flight home leaves at 2:30pm so I expect ME to pick me up around 11:30am. I can do the airline check in at the hotel first thing in the morning, then I have some time to kill. I will be solo so I can move around fairly quickly.

Epcot has EMH that morning at 8:00am. Is it realistic to be able to spend some time there? I assume I'd have to be back at the bust stop between 10:00 and 10:30 to be back in time for ME. Or should I allow for more time? I definitely don't want to risk missing my bus. I will have an AP, so I'm not worried about paying for a ticket for only a short time.

Or is there somewhere to get a good sit down breakfast with time to get back and forth?

Any other advice?

Since you can do airline check in and not have to worry about your luggage, would you consider taking a cab or Uber straight from Epcot to the airport or even back to your hotel? That might give you another hour or two in the park. How about an early breakfast at Garden Grille and then a ride or two as you head out of Epcot?

I would plan to tour as much as you want. If you are a few minutes late getting back to the bus stop, you can always use Lyft or Uber. We signed up for Lyft during our most recent stay at the Boardwalk because I wanted to try the Minnie vans. Never could justify the $20 cost when I saw lyft options could arrive faster take us anywhere we wanted to go for about $7. We also cancelled our Magical Express ride back to the airport and opted for Lyft instead for less than $30. The flexibility and additional park time were more than worth what we paid, especially compared to other costs on our vacation. You can still plan to use Disney's free transportation options, but this could be a nice insurance policy allowing you to enjoy the morning and still have an easy alternative in case things don't go quite according to plan.

Thanks for both replies. Good idea to use Lyft or Uber as a back up. I prefer to just take ME since that is what I'm used to, but at least if something happens, I can just get a ride to the airport. I've never used them before. Is there an easy place for pick ups at Epcot?

I did find a ADR at Garden Grill for 8:35, but I'm unsure I want to do character dining by myself, so I may not keep it, but its an option for now.

Get to that airline check in early, the last time I stayed I opted for more time in the parks than waiting in that line.

How does that work with your luggage and MDE? Do they just transfer your luggage to the airline? I have MDE scheduled to take us to the airport for our trip in January but it sounds like this could be a more convenient option.

You check in for your flight and check in your luggage at the resort. Resort Airline Check in (RAC) will transfer your checked bags to the airport. It is separate from DME. Bags have to be checked no later than three hours before your flight.

Resort airline check in is available at certain Disney resorts for certain airlines. When you use this service, you drop off your luggage at the resort in the same way as you would at the airport. The service transports your luggage directly to your airline. MDE is a completely separate service. You will still need MDE to travel to the airport unless you opt to take a taxi or Uber. I found it easy to get a cab at Beach Club and Swan when we stayed there. I haven't tried getting one at the front Epcot entrance.

Thank you both for your replies. I haven't heard of the RAC before. We are doing EMM at MK the day of our departure, so I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle getting to MK so early and checking out, etc.
