Will I get a referral?

A friend called my guide today....She left the following message.."Hi Bernard, I'm a friend of Tammymacb's and I would like to talk to you about buying 200 AKV points. Please call me. Phone number..

She has done a tour at WDW in the past.

Will I be considered a referral, and will I get the bonus?

Not unless she mentioned your name at her first tour. A referral has to be for their first contact with DVC.

My guide let me give someone's name as a referral and it was after I had already spoken to her a few times. She said they would get $200. So, maybe it depends on the guide?

We purchased our DVC in part to hearing that good friends joined. When DH called our guide who we had met with in the past, he mentioned that our friends and Frank (our guide) looked them up in the computer and told dh that they would get the referal $200.

We had not toured before, but had inquired. When we actually did the tour, we gave our DVC rep my SIL/BIL's names, and he looked up their member id. Make sure she has your member id, as the worst they can say is no. I'd sure try it and see what happens!!!

Hmm. I got some really good friends of mine to go to the tour, but this was before I purchased. If they decide to purchase, will I get the referral then?

He did put in a referral for me!!!!!
