Will I get a PIN again if I can't use in 2013?

I got my FD pin in the mail this week but will be unable to use in 2013 as I am going to DL in October and not WDW. Does WDW keep in my records whether I use the pin or not? Are the chances less that I will get a pin again if they think I am not visiting a Disney park? (staying with my DD so will not be making DLR reservations to go on my "record")

We went last in Oct. 2009. I've gotten many pins I did not use since that trip. I get sent pins much. We go back in Oct so I used the fd pin I just got.

I think it's just random. I have gotten a few before but I haven't gotten any for a few years now.

I have been going to Disney for many many years and have never received a pin code. Wish I would for free dining this year
