I have been playing fireworks for ever...can not get beyond about 49,000.
Will I ever improve so I can get the quest finished.. I am about to give up
and I am not the person who usually does that..

Don't worry, you'll get better! i used to be booted in the first round, and now sometimes i can get through to the last round!!

just wondering, what quest are you on?

Have you read the players guide for fireworks?

It takes practice, but you should also know the tricks of the trade as far as timing.

(I know when I started I thought the quicker I exploded them the better off I would be and it is the opposite.)

Also, if you are using a wireless mouse, that can affect your score. I switched to a wired mouse and got much better results. Main thing is to keep practicing. The fireworks on each level, appear in the same sequence every time. That is to say the pattern or placement. The fireworks symbols vary but even there, once you play a bit, you will begin to notice certain combinations are used.

For example, the last round of level 3 has 3 different possibilities. One starts with the yellow, one starts with gold, and one starts with the aqua. Once you learn which set goes with each of these starters, you can start anticipating a bit.

I have read the guide and know not to click too soon.
the quest i am on is Autopia for driver magic
Someday I'll get it i guess

Here's my trick. Turn off the vmk sounds, turn on some music. Watch the fireworks rather than listen to them and wait for that white star. Don't go for flawless just yet, you'll miss too many. Go for the awesomes.
Good luck!
Oh, btw...my best score was 214,000. Not nearly enough for the magic or the green car, but a really great score for me! You'll get there!

If you have a slow computer, try it on another computer if at all possible. I'm pretty good at fireworks, and usually get above 240,000 each time, but on my mom's slow computer I have trouble getting above 200,000. Slow computers can really make a difference.

Other than that, the best advice I can offer is to practice and relax. If you get upset and tense about missing one, you're more likely to miss others. And practice is good because, like someone else said, it's really the same patterns over and over. After awhile you get used to them and it's much easier to figure out what's coming next. My fingers do it automatically now.

Just wondering... How do you turn off the sound on VMK? I keep thinking it's probably some really obvious way I'm missing, but I haven't listened to music on my computer in a long time because it clashes with VMK.

It's where you change clothes. THere is a tab at the top for 'Sound'. I think the choices are Music, Sound affects and game interface. When I was on a slower computer I just left game interface on.

Turn off your computer speakers. Has nothing to do with the website.

Speed up your computer by cleaning out your temporary files/cookies before logging in (or after, but not during log in). Click on "Tools" on top bar, Internet Options, Delete Files. It seems to make a difference to me if I haven't done it in a week.

If your ultimate goal is to get Diver Magic, here's a small spoiler. You don't really need the car to get Diver Magic. The 2 places where you're supposed to drive the car to get credits, you can just sell something to pass that task.

to do well on fireworks, i just feel sorry for myself and try to think i'm going to lose. if you're overconfident, then you will lose (at least in my case). i also do better when i'm angry.

Not listen to VMK sounds is good idea.. I use headphones so no problem there. Thank you

Have new computer (very fast) and also cable connection...
I use wireless mouse which I guess I should not for fireworks..need to find a spare one around here somewhere

Coaster Guy, could you explain to me a little more what you mean...The quest I am doing is Autopia Quest the first one for driving magic which requires me to get 75,000 points in fireworks...but you said all i need to do is sell something... Where, to whom and etc

Thank all of you for your help and encouragement

There are two tasks on the Spacesuit quest which tell you to drive in Autopia Space Race and Autopia Off Road on Mars. You have to earn five credits in the first one (by getting five trophies) and ten credits in the second one (by getting ten trophies). You get the trophies and gas cans by driving over them. These tasks can be a bit lengthy because the trophies are worth one credit each. Many people opt to sell something from their inventory to earn the credits instead. I imagine you could earn the required credits by smashing a boat at Ned's too.

Selling something means pick some crappy thing from your inventory and sell it back to VMK. Click on the chair at the bottom of the screen to get to the sell option. You can sell multiple items that total up to the amount of credits you are supposed to earn.

I knew it had to be something ridiculously easy that I was missing! Thanks!

I try but the fireworks are so pretty I forget to shoot them down.

Just to add some info to what qruthie said.

To get into the Inner-Space shop, formerly Star Traders you need the Space Suit magic pin. You're supposed to do the 3 new quests in Tomorrowland to get that magic. You're supposed to get the Dive magic to get the Autopia magic to the the Space Suit magic. If you have difficulties with the Fireworks game there is a way to get Space Suit magic without Autopia magic. Instead of driving the car to earn credits you can sell something or earn the credits by doing something else. My point about the spoiler was you don't really need the Autopia magic to get Space Suit magic. You can skip getting Autopia magic if the Fireworks game is too hard.
