Will I be disappointed?

You and your daughter will have a great time. I have never found DLP or WDW to be "dirty". you will enjoy good quality time with your daughter and there will be plenty to fill your time.
Forget what your so called friend has to say and have fun.

I've got several hours of footage of the ground at DLP from when I forgot to turn off the camcorder whilst dangling it from my wrist

You sound as daft as I am - bet that was exciting viewing!!!

Thanks for all your lovely replies - I really am looking forward to going - I was just worried by what she'd said.

Kate is going to be 6 and hasn't been to many theme parks before however I did take her to Gulliver's Kingdom which she truly loved. (In fact she thinks that we might be going there for her birthday as we've only told her that we're going away!) And she loves Disney - especially the princesses!

You'll love it! My DD was 5 when we first went to DLP and she thought it was the best place on earth - one of our fave pics is of her hugging minnie mouse very tightly! We planned to take her there for her 6th birthday but DH was called up for jury service before we got it booked so we couldn't go.

If your daughter likes faster rides, I would say even big thunder mountain is suitable, ours made us go on several times that trip! If not there's still loads to do and see.

We were there before the studios were built, so there's even more to do now.

Have a great trip,

Lynn
