Ok, i can think of 3 other boards this question could be posted to, but I figure I'll try here first. Just today I was able to secure an O'Hana ADR for 6:30pm on my arrival day less than 3 weeks from now. The question I have is do you think it is even possible I can make this given that my plane lands at 3:05pm and I'm taking ME. I am more than willing to take a cab from POR to the Poly, I just wonder if I am just deluding myself into thinking this is even possible. Thanks for any advice.

I would say if your plane lands on time and you are willing to take a cab....yes, you could do it.

Usually it is about 2 to 2 &1/2 hours once you land to go from your hotel to a park or another resort. So that is pushing it but still doable.

I say keep it and if you see you can't make it by when you land then call and cancel. HOpe you have fun!

and you are probably okay even if you are a few minutes late. We were at least 10 or 15 minutes late to our WCC reservation --underestimated amt. of time it would take on the boats from Poly to MK == MK to WL. It wasn't a problem at all.

Thanks both for the advice. I was definitely planning to cancel if I felt I would be more than 15 minutes late.

I could also switch to a 9:40pm ADR but that just seems awfully late for a big dinner to me. I mean it would be the equivalent of an 8:40pm dinner for me, but I think I will be exhausted from travel, etc. by that point.

With the 6:30, I could hopefully finish up and head to the Poly beach to watch the 9pm wishes.

Thanks again.

Yep, I think you can make it.
If plane lands at 3:05, should get to your resort perhaps 4:30 (also depends on how you move through the airport to DME - we hightail it over there, LOL!)
So 4:30 get to your resort, check in, get to your room and get settled in and be at the bus stop by 5:15. Yes, is doable. But also depends on how fast you move through airport and to your room once checked in. And worst case a cab would definitely work, give you some more time.

We've arrived quicker than an hour and a half to our resort, but hour and a half seems a good average for us. What has held us up our last two trips was the line at DME waiting for a bus. ugh!

you will be able to do it, with plenty of time to spare. grab mk bus and then boat or monorail to poly. grab a drink and wait for your table.

Well, I don't plan to dilly dally in the airport :) But this is my first time using ME, so I'll have to hone my sense of direction to get there quickly and hope I get a bus quickly as well. My concern is arriving at that time on a friday before the of the busiest week of spring break outside of Easter. Though I guess Friday early afternoon is better than Saturday or Sunday for arrival.

This would be my first time at O'Hana so I think it would be a great first meal at the world. If it doesn't work out though, its ok. I do have a 7:00pm ADR for Sunday if this doesn't work out. If it does, I will look for a different meal for Sunday :)
