Will I be able to get a room at VWL in Jan?

Still havent gotten a date when we can get to use our points at VWL in January. My dd has college break until the 27th and we are trying to figure out a week when we could go. We will probably only need a studio since its just us 2 traveling at that time. We have never gone to Disney in January before and I know its getting close. Has anyone had any trouble booking VWL in January? thanks.

2 years ago we were able to snag a 1BR in November for a January stay, I don't know about studios though, I think they go quicker than 1BRs. Good luck!

Probably not if January 20 is included in your stay. I tried for BCV and was told that no studios were available that night due to Martin Luther King's birthday.

Thanks for your responses. I just wish we could pick a definite date for our trip so I can call DVC. I was hoping it would be easier as the Christmas and New Years holidays will be over. Should know by next week what dates we can go.

VWL is the smallest DVC, so the odds are not good.

Deb is right...VWL is the smallest DVC resort on-site at WDW so it can be challenging to get relatively short notice reservations. However, as pointed out, January outside of MLK weekend is not the busiest time of the year.

Figure out your dates next week and give MS a call...can't hurt! And have a back-up in your mind that works for you such as BWV, OKW or SSR. Good luck!

Thanks Granny. I don't know why I forgot that I could book at other DVC resorts! Have alot on my mind lately! The only other DVC resort we stayed at was OKW and we stayed in a Grand villa and it was beautiful.

That's the beauty of DVC. Kind of nice to be able to have a Plan B, Plan C, and a Plan D that are all great options! Good luck with the reservation.

Just a heads up I'm going 23rd-28th in a VWL studio, called the other day to see if I could switch it to 9th-14th and they only had SSR availability for a studio. Probably because that is the marathon weekend. Good Luck with what you decide!
