will he fit

we will be travling with TCD in july and a thing has just crossed my mind will my DS who at 15 is 6'5" fit into the bog standard seats?
my DH is 6"3' and did fit in the virgin seats in 1999 but son was much smaller then.
don't want to go to the expence to up grade for all of us (4) but if DS is going to be very uncomfatable would consider it for him. if its not too late

Well, he will fit of course, but it will be cramped for him. TCD used to let you book the exit seats for a small fee (£15 each I think). Dont know if this still happens, but worth a phone call. If the seats are allocated on arrival, then get to check in super early and ask for them. He would have plenty of room in these seats.

We came back on TCDs jumbo last year and there were only about 50 people aboard a 300 seat plane, so we had ROWS to ourselves , Not sure you will be THAT lucky, but again, it may be worth asking how full the flight is before you pay out for Sunshine First.

If all else fails and you end up with a "standard economy seat" then insist on an aisle seat (mutter about Deep Vein Thrombosis when you check in ) then at least he will be able to stretch his legs out for most of the trip.

planning on checking in early contemplating staying in gatwick hotel overnight in order to do so. have pre booked seats(only to ensure we sit together not actual seats) will this hinder trying to get extra leg room do you think.

If there's still time to book Sunshine First go for that! My son is 6' and has been really uncomfortable in the past in Virgin Economy - cramp in his legs for most of the journey. When we went with TCD a few weeks ago in Sunshine First he was happy all the way!
