Will epsom salt trigger tsa?

Will epsom salt in my checked bag trigger tsa to search my luggage ?

It did not ours. Unless they checked it and didn't put the notice in the bag. I guess that's possible. I've never worried about if they check my bags or not anyway.

If you have a large bag of it then probably. Two things almost always get me stopped by TSA, baby formula and bath bombs. Granted these are powder vs salts but if they show up similarly on the screen then they will likely check and swab the outside of the bag. It doesn't take but a few moments.

I remember one year returning from MCO we were stopped and my daughter had a can of baby formula for her baby. They basically put her thru so much she was almost in tears as they were talking about taking it away. She still had to feed her baby in the time from arrival at the airport, the flight and the trip home. Finally they released it but she was so upset she physically became ill.
