Will DVC purchase your other timeshares?

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of purchasing a DVC membership but already own several weeks with an RCI timeshare in the Caribbean.

At other timeshare meetings they often pull up my RCI weeks and offer to exchange them against a discount towards the purchase of their competing resort/timeshare.

Does anyone know, or heard of Disney doing something like this for new purchases towards becoming a DVC member?

No. The only timeshare they will purchase is their own through ROFR.

You can always consider a resale DVC purchase if you're looking for a lower price point. Currently Grand Floridian is selling for 161 dollars per point after incentives directly from Disney if you can afford that.

This is usually a mirage, as the “credit” is more than offset by inflating the sales price. And that’s assuming they actually transfer your other weeks. Mexico resorts in particular are notorious for not doing the transfer.
