I totally agree. Really, and especially if you’re driving a car, I don’t see any perk to staying on-site now unless you’re deluxe.
I was thinking the same thing except we are going in March! But I already made park reservations and this is likely going to cause changes! This would be awesome for our October trip. I hope they announce days soon cause I would need to rearrange our Parks Reservations to take advantage of this.
I feel the same way. It just seems like a move toward more of a class system at Disney. IMO, the only benefit of staying at a deluxe resort should be the nicer room. Everyone staying at ANY Disney resort should be on level playing ground when entering the parks. Just my two cents.I am torn on this one. While I am excited for this since we own DVC, this is a kick in the pants to cash guests staying at values, moderates and the campground. Some of those rooms are not cheap by any means. I personally think WDW should open this up to all on-site guest, not the good neighbor resorts. Give everyone staying on site a bonus.
I don’t like it.. it’s a class system, it reeks of … dare I use the word privileges for only deluxe guests. I’d prefer it if it were DVC only atleast one could justify that these guests already paid in handsomely for the perk.
I DISagree with levels of Entitlement based on which resort chosen.. or for that case.. is even available.
that being said, it actually won’t affect us often if at all as we choose deluxe but it definitely Bothers me. Certainly not INclusive for All Disney Resort Guests… ur labeled as Deluxe or Nothing![]()
Everyone at DVC? Or just blue card members?

Except that technically speaking they didn't add it. They took the perk away during the pandemic and are just reinstating it, but only for the deluxe and villas guests. This is a nice perk, finally something they are adding instead of taking away. It will be interesting to see how long and how many time they offer it.
Deluxe Villas ARE the DVC Resorts, so yes DVC is included.Since they included Deluxe Villas in the announcement, I tend to believe this will include DVC stays. Would also be a nice selling point.
That's a moderate-level rate for Disney these days. My family did book Caribbean Beach for $79 a night once........30 years ago.
Look at the rates for deluxe resorts now. You're lucky to get any deluxe room in the $300 range without a good discount.
This isn't a Perk for DVC. ANYONE staying at the designated resorts qualifies regardless if they belong to DVC or not. This is a nice perk, finally something they are adding instead of taking away. It will be interesting to see how long and how many time they offer it.
Yup, or the Magic Kingdom club discount. I recall we decided it wasn't worth $89 for the water view so we saved the 10 bucks for other stuff.Hey, we were at CBR at the same time🏝. I think we went through AAA and the agent had never seen the rate that low. thankful we are DVC Member’s and can continue vacationing at Disney world resorts
The deluxe rooms are barely better than value as it is. At these prices, I see no problem offering some sort of premium advantage. That's just how business works. People "feeling" that guests staying at value resorts "deserve" the same experience is irrelevant. EMH was already overcrowded to the point of being just a slightly later closing time as it was, so this should restore it to a more worthwhile offering.I feel like this is just the way life goes generally, you spend more and typically get more, or something nicer
I agree that people have a right to their feelings about Disney taking this perk away from all onsite guests (and some neighboring hotel guests) only to give it back to a select group. Every time Disney takes another perk away from guests, it bothers me.I’ll say what I’ve said on other threads-I think it’s really ok for folks to say “I used to get this for my money and you took it away and that makes me unhappy”. Can disney do it? Of course they can. But they offered it to all onsite guests before and now are offering it to fewer folks-they sure aren’t going to lower their ticket prices or the cost of on-site stays to make up for removing a perk. People get to be disappointed about that.
