Will Disney World be worth the money for me?

Next year, my mom and I are going to Disney World. Great, right? Except I have a problem. I HATE thrill rides. And when I say thrill rides, I really mean any ride. To give you a better idea of what a wimp I am to when it comes to rides, I can only go on four at Kings Island ( a park in Ohio, for those of you who don't know). The Scrambler, White Water Rapids, Adventure Express, and this one next to The Scrambler that looks like a spider. Everything else terrifies me. Which makes me really worried about Disney World. I know the main attraction is the rides. I don't want my mom to spend a bunch of money taking me there just so i can sit on a bench the entire time. Or, worse, take me there and then have to spend even more money so I can do stuff like tours and shows that cost extra. So basically, my question is is if Disney World has any attractions for me that 1. Are tame enough that I won't be scared and that won't bore my mom to death to go on with me and 2. Won't cost extra money to experience.

Been to kings and cedar point all my life. Disney rides are nowhere near that kind of thrill. Maybe skip rocking roller coast. even tower of terror is tame compared to what you are accustomed to at KI. most rides are very gentle and calm.

I would say that Disney is NOT an amusement park, it's a theme park.
MANY rides you can take a brand new infant on them they are so mild.
There are also many shows, parades, fireworks etc.
It sounds perfect for you!
Here is what you do, YOU TUBE! There are many videos of the rides.

Thanks so much for the replies. A lot of people have said that the rides at Disney are tame, but when they say that they usually don't realize the extent of my fear of heights and rollercoasters. I'm happy to know the rides won't be too scary for me!

Disney has very few coasters and they aren't necessary to enjoy your day.
Most Disney rides to not leave the ground.

As many PP have already stated, Disney is NOT all about Roller Coasters. Other than viewing You Tube as suggested I don't know how to help convince you. If you are still skeptical than perhaps it is not for you.

Oh, I'm not skeptical! I was really saying I'm glad there aren't thrill rides there. Or at least, not very many. Sorry for the confusing wording.

I suggest you do some research on your own or buy a guide book to understand what the rides actually are. It appears you really don't know anything about Disney World.

You'll be fine! We have only been to WDW with my toddler daughter (4 times between the ages of 14 months and 3 years), and DH and I have never been on anything that she couldn't ride (nothing with a height requirement, so no roller coasters or even Soarin). We have still had a great time every time we've gone and gone on a ton of rides. Have fun!

Neither my son or I can ride any jerky or bumpy rides and I got to WDW twice a year and he goes once a year. Plenty to do without riding rides, as a matter of fact, we usually only ride two or three rides per park. There are so many details, shows and just things to see and do some people actually go and never ride a ride or step foot in a park.

Walt Disney World has so much to offer. There are plenty of free things also included things to do while you stay there. What time of the year you are all going?

It will be worth it for you! There are plenty of rides that you will enjoy, I'd say do some research on all the rides and feel free to ask on here what people think to get more answers for you.

Most of the rides at Disney can accommodate an infant. Are you saying you won't even try a ride that an infant can ride? I think you'll find you can handle most rides at Disney

That's a wonderful time of year to go. Small crowds, shorter lines and cooler weather. The Food & Wine Festival is in September and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party starts sometime in September.
The F&W is wonderful. Definitely look into it. It can really add up though (I personally don't drink, but the food is well worth it. Each little plate is about 4-6$) We go once a year in September just for the F&W and spend two days at Epcot.
MNSSHP is a fun experience as well, go dressed up in Halloween custom and go ticker tricking around the park.

Seriously, if you cans do Adventure Express and Monster, you can do 80% of the attractions at WDW. I grew up at KI and have had Season Passes for years so I know these rides well. My sister cannot even handle the rides you mentioned and does many attractions at WDW. WDW attractions are Theme Park attractions not Amusement Park attractions.

Read the attraction summaries and check out the videos and pictures that can be found online.

Also, check out the entertainment schedules for each park, parades, shows, and fireworks.

I feel a lot better about going now. Thanks to everyone who replied. I'm going to look at some of the videos people have posted and look into the attractions you guys have mentioned. Again, thanks so much. You guys have been a big help in making g me feel better about this trip.
