Will DISNEY release more 12/05 rooms?

A week I am looking for in early December is sold out. Will Disney release more rooms as the time gets closer? If so, when do they normally do this? When do DVC owners usually let go of unwanted ressies? Thanks.

The only rooms they could possibly "release" would be at Saratoga Springs as they roll new units into inventory for sales purposes. DVC members have access to their entire inventory of rooms 11 months in advance. There are no rooms held back.

I also think there are few "unwanted rooms" as you seem to define them. Yes, plans do change. But since DVC requires us to commit points at the time of the reservation, people can't just hold rooms for two or three different vacation weeks and make up their minds later.

Also remember that early December is an extremely popular time for DVC members, lower points than later in the month, usually pretty nice weather, all the Christmas stuff is going on. It is best to make plans early for that time of year. I know I booked our ressie at the 11-month window, and have no plans to cancel it, unless a personal emergency makes travel impossible for me.

The best chance of a waitlist for early December 2005 coming through at this point will be 31 days prior to arrival. That's when DVC members who aren't sure of their plans will cancel (to avoid having their points go into the holding account).

It is possible that SSR will release more rooms. The developer must ensure that there are enough rooms in member inventory to support sales. If the sales rate warrants it, and they have available /ready for occupancy rooms in the developer inventory, they may move some into the member inventory. If they release rooms for your desired time and you are on the waitlist, maybe you will be lucky! Good luck.
