our annual passports are up for renewal in September,
is there any chance dinsey will offer me some kind of insentive or am i just dreaming?

Ours run out at end of August, and we were offered an extra 6 months free if we bought another year.

If you go for the offer ... do they just extend your current pass, or do you have to go to DLRP right away to update it?

They sent the letter to me in the post a few weeks ago, and I just had to send the documents back along with payment. I assume it just extends the current pass.

if you renew through the post can you still get the free passports for children?

In June I sent an Email to DLP asking if they had any offers if I extend my Annual Pass Dream, usually each year I became a letter from them with some sort of offer(6 months + etc).It has taken them a month to reply and they said they can offer me 179 Euro with no extras. This is the regular price for the pass.Dont they want people to make return trips?I have now decided not to go this year,im going to WDW in sept anyway.

Maybe the are only doing the discount/extra months free once now and then you have to pay the regular price again.

Yes but it seems such a bad way to get us into the parks,if they had given me an offer I would have gone this summer mainly because I wanted to see Enchanted fireworks but now I will wait until next year (or I usually go for New Year).

Absolutly I agree.

You'd have thought they would offer AP's to existing holders at reduced rates to keep them interested in going into the parks. The more people they get through the gate then (hopefully) the more $$$ they make through food, drink etc

Thing is, AP holders don't necessarily make money for DLRP - as its more beneficial for DLRP if the hotel/tickets packages are bought, in preference to APs and hotel room only rates. It depends how many times an AP holder would increase their number of visits, compared with how many times they would pay for a package.

The recent change to policy for AP holders, in that they can only book onsite hotels up to 90 days in advance, seems to be another indication that package bookings are preferrable to DLRP.

Very true. I hadn't even thought of that!

I suppose I was really thinking about my siuation. I'll be getting AP's in October, if I had been going on a package with Disney it would be the only time I went for the whole year, however as I'm getting an AP I'm already planning a 2nd trip in January as it seems rude not to take advantage of the AP's while I have them :)

As you can tell I don't have a Business Degree :lmao:
