Will Disney honor a rate even if its an error?

DH and I decided to do a last minute trip to WDW for next week (we're moving at the beginning part of the week, so what better way to unwind than a surprise trip for our kids, lol). We had decided we wanted to camp, so I called central res. They gave me a FL res rate of 39.03/night, we didn't book right away because we were still thinking about it. DH was looking online this a.m. and checked the online rates. They had a FL res rate of 22.30/night with tax for a site w/sewer. For some reason it would error out if we tried to book the site w/out sewer (we're tent camping). So, we went ahead and booked the one we could and paid our deposit.

That's my really long way of saying: If we've paid the deposit and we have our email confirmation that shows the rates, will Disney still honor it even if its an error? I just don't want any nasty surprises when we get there next Wed!

Also, is there any way to call central res and see if they can change us to a non-sewer site and just deduct the difference (online it was like $17 difference for the 2 nights, but we couldn't book it)?

Disney's computers had an error on FL resident rates back in Aug. They would only honor the rate for only one night, not the entire stay. The error then was a miscalcultion with the tax. Disney said since it was a tax error & not a room rate error, they could not honor it for the entire stay. So to answer your question... I don't think anyone can say yes or no for sure. Only way to be sure is see if they contact you once you have booked. That is what they did to everyone the last time.

Honestly, I don't know what is up with reservations. I have NEVER had any I problems in my last 15 trips, but my upcoming Jan. trip has been one error after another. I don't think all of the CMs know how to handle the myriad of options on the screens. Maybe it is the BRP that is messing them up.

The worst of the errors was a very nice CM who booked me at WL for 8 nights for $541.70 TOTAL. I KNEW he was wrong but I couldn't talk him out of it. So he charged me for the room and gave me a res. # which I promptly used to call and have someone help me get the right price. It took several calls to finally get someone to believe me that the price was wrong. Guest Services finally listened to me and gave me a very nice rate of $121 per night. And when I checked my info online it said the price for the 8 nights was $3,700.00 minus the $541.70 I had paid. Oh , brother. I finally got it straightened out, but it shouldn't take so much of my time to convince them not to undercharge me!

So, Flmamaof2, keep calling until you get
a) a voice of reason (a sensible CM)
b) an email that confirms what CM said

The email should be honored.

In my case, I don't think the email confirmation I had was reasonable and along the way someone would have said so.

I ended up calling central res yesterday, the cm I spoke to was very nice, but he referred me to the "Central Res Guest Services" (which I've never heard of). They had me email them the confirmation email I recieved and the screen shot I had taken of the end-of-transaction confirmation screen. The rep called me back soon after and said that it was an error, but as long as I kept my reservations exactly the same (no changing to partial hook-up), then I could keep the rate.

I'll print out both the email and screen shot to take with me to the campground, I also wrote down the names of everyone I spoke to and the ph# and email address they had given me. So, hopefully if there's a problem when we check in, I'll have everything I need to correct it.
