We are thinking about making an ADR for our upcoming trip, but are unsure of how the restaurant works. DH is a meat and potatoes type of person, and can have more than his share ;)
How does the food serving work here? All help is greatly appreciated.
TIA

My husband loves the food, but he has to have a snack after we leave, he feels the portion size is not large enough.:thumbsup2

My DH is one of those stereotypically freakishly thin guys who eats everything in front of him. If we have a snack that day before dinner TE is totally fine for him. It's usually too much for me, so he has mine and his then that's enough for him.

Satisfied, probably. Full, no.

Really, I don't think the servings are "too much" here at all. To me, the servings are just about perfect for lunch.

Thanks for the help:thumbsup2
Im happy to know that others understand what I am talking about. Ill make sure to have extra goodies on hand, in case his tummy starts to rumble afterwards.

My hubby always is full. It's quite a bit of food, plus lots of rice, noodles and veggies. Very filling.

This is on our list of possibilies for our trip in May and my dad who has been there before told me that he felt it wasn't enough food. Good, yes, but he was looking for more afterwards. We will probably still do it, my DH is probably the only one who will have issue with it and he can probably have some of my share anyway.

I know what you are talking about. I have never eaten here before but have reservations for a late lunch for our Spring Break Trip. My husband is a meat and potatoes eater - very picky, unfortunately - and will not eat the veggies, noodles, and rice. He will probably only eating only the meat. I made an earlier dinner at Planet Hollywood, were he can load up on potatoes and meat all he wants!

Thank goodness for the Dining Plan!

DisneyDreamer, I was also looking at the PH menu! I figured if I stuffed him earlier, by dinner time he should be fine with what they give him.;)
We are going to make the ADR, and just get a CS meal if his stomach starts yelling, "feed me!"
CrazyforDisney...
what is this caramel shop that you speak of! Sounds like something my sweet tooth would appreciate.

As you can see from my rating, he might need a snack.
The quantity is not enough for a big appetite.

NOTE: The hibachi tables seat eight (two each side, four
front side); sometimes they can squeeze nine if several
kids. Depending upon the chef, it can be exciting and very
entertaining, or it can be almost dull. Quality is below a Benihana
or Kobe Steakhouse, but slightly above average.

We've eaten there twice and both times this is exactly what my husband said as we were walking down the steps--"OK, what's for a snack now".:rotfl::rotfl:

I've eaten here several times. I do believe that they serve a "normal" amount of food, I am full when I leave. I do know that you can add to your meal though.. a salad, app and dessert. That may help fill him up. It is great fun and good food, I think it is worth it.

Most restuarants serve more food than I can eat, but portions here were not huge. If you have a big eater with you, my guess is that they will still be hungry after this dinner. We had entrees and dessert and thought it was adequate but I think my kids could have eaten more.

I think if you order a misu soup, eat a meat entry, all of the noodles/rice, and desert it is more than enough food for any meal and feeling the need for more after that is just being a piggy. I mean I had a half a plate covered in steak and chicken, the other half noodles & veggies, and a separatebowl of rice, plus cake at the end, if you are on dining plan. I only had a full breakfast, and an ice cream sandwich around lunch, so I went in with a full appetite and was happy. (and I'm a 230 pound guy who loves to eat!)

That said, the world showcase has no shortage of other snackys abound if somebody is still hungry. However, if someone can't handle eating the rice/noodles/& soup because they are strictly meat & potatoes they will probably be hungry but then you probably should stick to America/UK/Canada for your country dining options.

Thanks for the review TRScupper:thumbsup2
My original plan was to make an ADR at LCelier, but the CM I spoke to, informed me that it now required 2TS credits! I read the menu for GGrill but DH said it sounded alot like LTT, but with fish. Wish I could find a buffet for this day, because the TS meals at EPCOT do not appeal to my picky eaters.
