Will December park hours change?

I have an up coming trip for December 15-21. I was looking at the park hours and closing times are listed at 6 PM or 7 PM each night we are there. We were last at Universal in December 2015, I do not remember the parks closing so early. Is there any chance the hours will be extended past the early closing times? I thought with the new Harry Potter Christmas plans they would stay open until at least 8-9?

I’m going to be there the same week (16-22). I was hoping the parks would stay open later, but maybe it’s better for me if they don’t.

Christmas party season- businesses rent out the park in the evening. (I want to work for one of those companies!!)
