Hi there! Thanks for reading my PT, I hope to keep this as amusing as possible. If you would like to understand my title please visit my TR from last may: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2192816

Here is the cast for our trip:

Me - 35 working Mom of 2 wonderful children and a great husband, loves EVERYTHING Disney but needs to control it or my DH will go nuts, lol
DH - 39 hard working hubby and Dad, likes going to the world as long as I control myself.
DD - 7, she just turned 7 early Jan., she loves Disney, although my previous TR doesn't really show it.
DS - 3, this will be his 1st WDW trip, I am a little anxious about this. He is a true boy so I am a little worried about keeping him under control while we are there.
MIL - she will be celebrating her bday on our trip (I will not post her age, in case she reads this ;) )
FIL - his bday is a week after we return from WDW, we plan on celebrating while there.

OH!! The biggest celebration we will have on this trip is our 10th Wedding Anniversary!!!!

Where: OKW, 2Bedroom.....

When: May 1-8, 2010

Okay, here is a real brief history of our previous trip with DD. We went last May and I did all the planning, we had plenty of Character meals planned including 1900 Park Fare for dinner on our 1st evening. We get to dinner, DD is SO excited to meet "Cindy" (as she refers to her), as we are seated they announce Cinderella....I look to my right to tell DD "she's coming!!!) but she isn't there. Where is she you ask? She is under the table, crying and shaking and will NOT come out. Took almost an hour to get her out. For more detail about that trip and how we handled this see my TR, here is the link again: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2192816

I will be back soon with some details we have planned already, thanks for reading

That is hilarious about her DD!! Cinderella can be very intimidating.
Maybe this time she won't be so overwhelmed:goodvibes

Okay so here is what we have planned so far:

All 6 of us will be leaving EWR on 5/1 at 11:5am direct to WDW on Continental, arriving at 1:45. Myself, DH and the kiddies are returning on the 8th of May via Continental, leaving MCO at 6:05pm with an expected arrival of 8:51pm. MIL & FIL are returning on 5/11 not sure of their flight times, but they will be coming out of TPA since they plan on visiting friends after our time in WDW.

DH & I will be picking up our mid-size car from Hertz, which we did thru priceline for $157 INCLUDING taxes:cool1:. MIL & FIL as of right now will be using Alamo for there rental, they will be staying in FL for 3 extra days they were able to get there midsize for $147 including taxes!!! Unfortunately that was not available for our 7 day rental. I am a little concerned about them renting from a different company, but they are adults, I am sure they will be just fine. I just wished it would of been a little easier to get us all to our resort together.

We are on the DDP, we have several ADR's made already which I will list. The evening we arrive is scheduled to be at Trail's End for 6:55pm, I am not sure we will keep them. I am a little concern that DD & DS will be overtired from the flight, so we are considering Olivia's at OKW (something quiet). After our experience with DD last year I am trying to make smarter choices.

Our other ADR's so far are:

Le Cellier for a late lunch - 1:55pm on 5/2
Narcoossee's for Dinner - 7:45pm on 5/3....we were hoping for an adults only dinner, but DS is too young for the kids club so they will be joining us.
Boma - dinner on 5/5, 7:25pm....we will celebrate MIL's bday
Cape May Cafe - dinner, 7:30 pm on 5/7

We have 1 left which will most likely be on our own as MIL & FIL plan on visiting some friends on 5/4 and 5/6. We know we will be short 1 TS, we plan on using a CS for dinner one night.

So as you can see there are NO character meals planned for this trip, we need to observe how DD will react to the characters just walking around the parks.

I also must mention we do not plan on spending every waking moment with MIL & FIL. They could not handle running every day all day and that is fine. Also must say we are not a commando family the kids like their sleep and so does DH.

Will be back soon with more!

Looking back at it, it is hilarious, living it was not!! But I do have to say that the CM's were fantastic helping us deal with her. I pray this trip will be different, one could only hope...right?

I'm in. Just subscribed!!

My daughter had the same reaction to all the other characters. With the face characters she did fine, but she could see the full body characters from a mile away and that was too close for her ;). We are planning a trip for this September so I'm hoping it will be better this year. She'll be 4 and has to emphasize that she is a big girl now, so we'll see. :confused3
