Will Club Level Still Be Club Level?

We really enjoy staying club level and typically eat breakfast and lunch in the lounge. We have club level resort stays booked for upcoming trips, but now I'm wondering if the club lounges will still serve food as they used to. Do you think when Disney World reopens, they'll have attendants serve the club level food? I can't imagine them not serving food at all, as it's the primary perk of staying club level. They're still booking club level rooms, so they must be planning on continuing food service in some fashion. Thoughts?

It's an interesting consideration. I imagine we will see several changes. It's possible things like buffets and toppings bars may be altered, as well. I don't have any insider info, for the record, I just imagine there will be changes.

I imagine things being a little different. More sanitizer stations. Food would be covered somehow - Such as fitted plastic or glass covers over individual small plates of hors d'oeuvres. Or perhaps a CM serving the food cafeteria style behind a glass barrier, instead of self serve buffets on counters.
Small changes could make it all work.

We stay club level a lot. I’ve seen some gross things when there wasn’t something like this around. I have to imagine they will have to change to something like a CM serves you like at a weddding buffet.

I don't think things are going to change as much as everyone thinks - in MY opinion, it's a little short sighted to see how much we have to change now - and apply it forward. After a certain period of time we will have achieved a level of immunity to this, just like everything else that's come along our way, to allow us to continue living our lives. Maybe we will have a heightened sense of the importance of vaccination? Maybe we will have an increased awareness of maintaining generic cleanliness (like not sneezing open faced into a crowd? Washing our hands regularly?) I don't think things are going to change in terms of food preparation or service. Maybe in the beginning, just because there will be an expectation of separation, as far as people WANTING to see things covered because they're still afraid - but I dont see that playing out in the long term simply because I don't think it will be necessary.

I see what you mean, but it could be things change long term because it would be preventive towards another pandemic, outbreak, or just localized issue. If the food is served by one person instead of a ton of people touching the utensils and lids it would reduce the potential for food to be contaminated by a sneeze, cough, or just someone subconsciously rubbing their itchy nose and then using the tongs etc. Not every surface can be sanitized all the time, but little changes can go a long way.

I think there will be servers and not buffets for a quite a while.

My biggest concern is the trial FP program changing. I’m in limbo debating on upgrading to CL in August/September but the extra FP is a dealbreaker for me

Yes, this is another concern of mine. We're booked for late July and our 90 day point would be in early May, probably before Signature Services will be up and running again. Bummed about that but it isn't critical for us this trip as we'll be there for a week. For our 3-night December trip, though, we'll really be counting on it. Hope it comes back.

Our honeymoon 90-day booking is Monday :(
