we are leaving our kids home for my birthday trip :) being 5 and 9 they are a bit sad so I was thinking of bringing them hme a photo of Mickey or a princess holding a sign that says somehitng. Like miss seeing you, see you real soon, or just hi kids! Etc. will they allow this?

Not sure if this is still correct, but I remember seeing a discussion about this here:

It sounds like the answer is, "yes" with some exceptions, but it depends on the cast member who is handling it and what your message says.

Your sign ideas seem innocuous. I wouldn't have been surprised if the answer was no, though. Seems like these days you can photoshop anything onto a sign after the fact.

I just recently had some friends who had Mickey hold up a sign "It's a Girl". I'm sure it just depends but in general, yes!

It seems to be hit or miss at DLR as well. We had a small "Get well soon X" sign with us in a couple lines last fall. Donald's character handler had no problem with it. Mickey and Minnie's handler did, until Minnie looked at the sign and gave it a thumbs up.

In 2012 when my husband couldn't come due to starting a new job, lots of characters (face and not) held up a "congrats on your new job" sign for me.

Ok thanks! I will plan on it with the knowledge that they might refuse.
