Will Call pickup at resorts?

As a spur of the moment thing, my wife and I decided to purchase a Two-Day ticket for ourselves and our three kids. We'll be in Florida visiting family and figured we might as well swing by MK for two days since we'll be close by. We've never stayed off-site before, and we've never stayed fewer that 5 nights before. This feels a little more like going to Cedar Point for the weekend rather than the full, immersive Disney vacation I'm used to, but the kids will be super excited and I'm going into it open minded. (Terrified we can't hop on Disney bus and take our normal afternoon nap at POP, though!)

Anyway...Given the kids have long since lost their old magic bands, and even the expedited shipping option wouldn't deliver them until the day we leave for FL (Nov 9th) Will Call is our only option. I've heard MK Will Call is an absolute nightmare. I read online that tickets can be picked up in several locations including Disney Springs and any resort hotel. Just to be clear, does the hotel option apply to guests not staying at that hotel? We have a late Kona Cafe reservation for the 9th and could grab them there if so before our park day on the 10th.

Thanks!

Resorts aren't a pick-up location for will call tickets.

You will have to go to a ticket window to pick up Will Call tickets. We have had good luck picking up tickets at the TTC, instead of at the parks (as long as you avoid MK opening time!)

That can depend on which kind of tickets.
No dealings with Annual Pass's at a resort.

As to regular (non AP) tickets, unless something has recently changed,
AFAIK, guests can pick up Will Call tickets at a WDW resort Concierge desk.

I've been picking up my "Will Call" Hoop Dee Doo and Aloha show tickets
at the resort Concierge (used to be called "Guest Services") desk for decades.
I've also upgraded my MYW park tickets (added days and/or Hopper) there multiple times.

I've not been asked at the Concierge desk if I was a guest at that particular hotel
(or if I was a WDW resort guest at all, for that matter) when I was picking up my Will Call tickets.

1) HDDR and Luau tickets aren’t in the same system as park tickets and can’t be picked up at parks, so that part’s not a great comparison.

2) My comment didn’t say resorts CAN’T fill a will call - it said they aren’t a location designated for doing it. I’ve fixed enough problems with tickets that originated at resorts that I will never in a million years recommend that anyone do their ticketing stuff at a resort. YMMV.

This is where I read that Will Call was available at resort Guest Services. Is it incorrect, or am I misunderstanding somewhow? https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...reakfast-reservation-park-work-thanks-311315/ It sounds like ravenclaw must work for Disney and has seen lots of issues from Resort issued tickets, so maybe I won't go that route anyway.

Assuming I'm better off getting the Will Call tickets at a designated site like the TTC, what time should we arrive at TTC for an 8am opening? 7am or so?

Ticket booths and Guest Relations are usual open 30 min. (maybe a bit more) before the first guests are admitted to the park.
If it is ALSO a 7AM EMH (or EMM) day, the booths should be open by about 6:30AM.
If it is strictly an 8AM open, the booths may not be open until sometime past 7:00AM.

I'd shoot for 7:15AM. That ought to be OK for you.

I have found the Mom's Panel makes a lot of mistakes..a lot. I would believe ravenclawtrekkie instead of the Mom's Panel.

7:15am it is. Thank you sir.

if you were at the Poly the night prior, can't you just swing by MK gates that night and visit Guest Services or Will Call? I went on a normal 9am open at around 9:15am, and I had to wait behind 3 other families, took about 5 minutes.....

From the Poly, a stop at the ticket booths at TTC (next door to the Poly) might be an alternate plan, too.

Excellent ideas! We did the TTC to Poly walking path one time for an O'hana breakfast ADR, and I remember it being a nice walk. Monorail rides are always fun, too.

On an unrelated topic...is the beach still the best place to watch the fireworks? I've heard the bungalows can get in the way. Our Kona ADR is at 8:20pm so it should work out just right to see the holiday Wishes show.

Just to wrap things up...

We arrived at Poly Thursday evening around 6PM and walked to TTC where we got our tickets. We then rode the Epcot monorail and resort loop monorail a few times, finally getting off at the Poly. The kids played on the beach for a bit, then it was time for our Kona ADR. We skipped the fireworks as the kids were too tired.

Friday morning, we arrived at the TTC around 7:30, caught a ferry and were through the turnstiles just after 8. It was EMH morning but most things (7 dwarfs, Peter Pan, etc excluded) were 10mins or less until about 10am.

Saturday morning, we arrived at TTC at 7:05, the ferry departed at 7:35, and were the first 100 or so people let through to mainstreet. We hustled to stay up at the front of the pack as we were lead to the hub. From the hub, we watched the opening show from the right side of the castle (headed towards Tea Cups) where the cast members stopped us. The cast members then led us to Seven Dwarfs once the park opened. We were the first 50-100 to get on Seven Dwarfs. My 4yo daughter and 6yo son had to scurry to make it, but they loved the ride, and of course the que was absolutely packed by the time we exited the ride around 8:10am or so.

Thanks to all for the excellent advice...it worked perfectly!
