Hi. We're going to buy the 7 day unlimited deal online and wondered if I should do the will call or print at home? Will the will call tickets be more sturdy than my home printer paper?? I'm assuming so, but just wondered if anyone had any more info about the quality of the ticket.

Thanks. First time back to US in over 10 years, so we're really looking forward to everything being new.

UPDATE: Due to the great responses here, I realized that I could just GO to AAA and get them in person and save the aggravation. You guys are the best!:goodvibes

We did the will call tickets & ours were a sturdy wallet size paper ticket, which would probably hold up better than regular paper that you would use to print your tickets at home. However, I think I remember reading on here that you can trade your print at home tickets in for the smaller wallet size tickets once you get to Universal, but that probably defeats the purpose of printing them at home.

Universal has changed quite a bit since your last trip ~ tons of new, fun rides & attractions. Hope you have a great trip!

I would go with the electronic pickup option as opposed to either print at home or will call...especially if you're going to pay with a credit card. With the print at home tickets, you will have a full sheet sized ticket that can be exchanged for the regular tickets but that takes time. With the will call tickets, you will have the regular sized tickets but you have to wait in line which takes time. With the electonic pickup option, take your credit card and confirmation # to the ticket kiosk outside the gates and your tickets will print out right there. They will be the regular sized tickets and there's hardly ever a line for the kiosk. I think you'll find this option quick and easy.

:thumbsup2 Yep - just don't forget your confirmation # like I did (left it on a piece of paper back in the hotel room). However, if you're brain turns to vacation mode like mine did, just take your credit card to will call or any ticket booth & they can print your tickets for you. We were fortunate not to have to wait in any line for this, but I'm sure the lines can get quite long depending on the time of day/year you go.

Thanks folks. I can save about $2.50 a ticket via AAA, their online option is only will call or print at home. Which costs $2.10, so it's essentially a wash. SO, I will take your advice and go with the electronic pick-up.

I can't even imagine what US will be like vs. the last time we went. I think the only things left are ET, Terminator, Jaws and the Blues Bros. and Beetlejuice shows! My son with Autism has LOVED Barney from the time he was little, and seeing him will probably be the highlight of his trip.

That's the reason we're going with the 7 day. If the kids really like it, then it will be hard to say NO. Does Universal allows upgrades like Disney - if the kids LOVE US/IOA, then can we upgrade to an annual pass? We usually go in January so we would use it at least once, possibly twice.

This is all going to be a surprise, so we have to "sneak pack" the kids SpongeBob shirts, Marvel Superheroes shirts and whatever else we have that applies to US/IOA (I'm thinking Dinosaur stuff).

I AM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS.

If you have print-at-home tickets then where do you take them to exchange for regular tickets - to the normal ticket kiosk or do you have to line up at some other place?

You will need to go to guest services.

And yes, Sharadoc, US will upgrade your tickets to annual passes if you so desire.

This is the electronic ticket kiosk outside of IOA. The ones outside the Studios are similarly placed.

But don't take your print at home tickets to the electronic ticket kiosk to exchange. That is only for the electronic pickup tickets.

If you get your tickets at AAA you will have them in hand, little tickets just like you want and you go straight to the gate when you get there, no distractions. Unless the AAA office is far away that would be my choice.

The closest AAA office to Universal is near Fashion Square Mall on Colonial Drive and that's quite a haul considering traffic so that's not going to be a viable option for most people.

Our CAA (Canadian Auto Association) gives the small tickets when you purchase them there.

Thanks. You know, I hadn't thought of actually GOING to the AAA office. I'm so used to shopping online for everything - DUH :headache:

I called them and they DO have limited hours on weekends, but they're only 15 minutes away, so I think that's what I'll do. I can save around $7 per ticket for my WDW tickets, too, so overall for both parks, I'll save around $30. Worth the gas :confused3 Yeah, I think so. :thumbsup2
