Official line is buses run til 1 hour after close. But WDW won't strand you. After that 1 hour they may start to combine routes, so it may not be as fast as earlier in the day, or you may get your bus direct back.
If you decide to hang somewhere buses stop running such as the Boardwalk and need to get back to let's POR then you can get Uber to grab you. 20 Bucks!
Some buses will still be rolling until after 2AM.
Go to the Boardwalk bus stop and tell any bus driver to which WDW resort you are headed.
(S)he will either take you there, or tell you which bus will be coming to take you there.

This! If you stay till the very end, when you exit the park, you might be surprised that a CM will ask you right after the exit "where are you going" and direct you to a waiting bus in the loop area, even before the bus stops. The routes might be combined and you may have the bus almost to yourself. They will not leave you stranded at the park, so there's no need to worry.
We have an 8pm ADR at Boma. MK and EP close at 10pm. So probably only option will be to take bus to Disney Springs and transfer to our resort or call Uber. What time would the last bus leave from AKL to MK or EP where we could then bus to our resort?
