We are staying at OKW for 4 nights, off sight in a regular hotel room with no kitchen for 3 nights and then at AKV for 4 nights. Does anyone know if bell services at store our refrigerated groceries for the 3 nights we have to be offsight?

JUST personal opinion. NOT based on experience.

1) Do you think it's fair to ASK them to store it for 3 nights? (Just being honest here.)

2) If you do ask them, maybe an appropriate gratuity could ease the "pain" of 3 days storage.

3) Maybe bell services (contracted by Disney) actually has a charge for this already. If no one here knows, I would ask them.

Maybe it is more reasonable to run resources down to minimum throw-away and start over when you return to WDW.

Hmm. I guess I hadn't really thought of it it terms of fairness. Just wondering if it is possible. Believe me, the stay off site in the middle of our trip is unavoidable at the moment. It is not to vacation elsewhere. It is just what we may have to do and trying to figure out what to do with any perishables we have, short of throwing them out since we will need them again for the final part of our trip.

Unless something changed in the last couple of months, DVC/Deluxe resort Bell Services are Disney employees, the Valets are contracted as are the car un-loaders.

Their ability or willingness to keep things for a few days might depend on how busy they are and how much room they have.

Sorry about that. Wasn't thinking. You are exactly right. I got confused with the valet folks.

Here is an interesting tidbit, the car un-loader/greeter at VGF is a Disney employee. The outside business partner (Bags, Inc) didn't want the gig because there isn't a valet there.

The un-loader isn't allowed to take luggage past the storage room due to union issues and he isn't allowed tips, again union issues. If you need or want Bell Services, they will be dispatched from the GF unless one just happens to be hanging around VGF. They tend to stay at the GF because the tips are better over there.
