Will be MIA for a few days

We have had a death in the family today (Great Uncle) but I don't know how quickly things will happen. Some family members want the funeral this weekend, others want to wait until Monday. So things will be nuts. I will pop in if I get swap stuff and to say hey, but that's about it. DH needs to head to CA on Sunday but he's not sure if he should call his boss. We will have to be in Massachusetts for all the family stuff and then cleaning out his place. He had no children so I'm not sure who is going to handle it all. His sisters live in the same complex but I hope it doesn't get dumped on them. Memere is 90 and she does not need this.

Anywho, Nancy has the down low on everything and if you really need to get in touch with me, she is my go-to gal.

Crappy day, let me tell ya. I am sad......

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's never good timing but it's especially hard around the holidays - hang in there.

So the wake will be on Sunday and the funeral on Monday so we're not going. DH has to leave at 2pm tomorrow for CA and the wake is from 3-7. There is no way I'm driving the Mass. Pike by myself from Hartford.
And I can't drive to Newton by myself either so we won't be going to the funeral either.
I would really like to say my goodbyes but I have made peace with it. He knows we loved him. And he would not want me disrupting the kids schedule.

We will see all the family in 3 weeks at our family party.

Thanks for all the hugs and prayers. It's nice to know that ya'll care and are there when I need ya.

The next bit will be cleaning out his apartment. I need to talk to Memere about it soon. But the retirement home is giving them plenty of time to work it out.
