the elections are over and they take off the politcial ads?

I can't wait. I get stuck watching MA and NH ads and they are so negative.. Makes me not vote since you never know what anyone stands for.

Yes, I am tired of the computerized phone calls and all the junk mail coming out campaigning too!

Well Mitch, Rudy Guiliani called me. I hung up on him so I could chat with you. :)

I'm sure I make a better drink than Rudy!!!!

Yes... I will be THRILLED when this year's elections are done and over with. Sick to death tired of all the bull#*@&!

I haven't paid much attention to the ads. But those annoying personalized calls get on my nerves. I've had 4 so far. 3 from the same group.

I can't wait. As you can see from my thread about a certain ad for NY governor, I'm tired of the idiocy and mud-slinging.

It makes me so mad that all the damned ads are about how "bad" the opponent is. Wouldn't it make more sense to tell people what you're going to do.

I got a call from Martin Sheen!

He's the President don't you know.....

Yes it will be good to get back to all those pharmaceutical ads.....

Kara,

My teacher friend... Which is the first and which is the second definition in Webster's for politics as you so eloquently stated?

I'm sick of the negative ads. The sad part is that it won't be long after this election is over before the ads begin for 2004 :(

What aggravates me the most are the "recorded" campaign speeches that they use. My phone rings, I pick it up and I'm supposed to listen to a recorded message? I don't think so

This is part of the reason I don't vote. What are you going to do and how are you going to do it and how is going to effect me?

No one says it. Oh well!

I hate the recorded ads.......we got one this afternoon from one of the RI gubernatorial candidates.......and if I had the opportunity to talk with someone I wanted to say I don't vote for anyone who disturbs me at home on a Sunday!!!

Unfortunately his opponent, IMHO, is no comparison....so he still has my vote.

I can't wait for the TV & radio ads to end too.....and the mailings!!! For many years one of our U.S. senators sent mailings to my dad.....who hadn't voted in many years because he had died. So much for researching voter registrations.....

No, NO!! NO!!! Say it isn't going to be soon!!!

There has to be a better way. Maybe we should all get clickers and can vote the ads to their doom.

Geez, I don't know what all the complaining is about. I got a PERSONAL phone call from George Bush today, telling me to vote the Republican ticket.

I will be glad when this is all over too. And Tuesday night they will start telling us the results with 2% of the votes recorded. I can wait and read about it Wednesday.

If you have no interest, if you aren't going to vote....Why wouldn't you just turn the channel and not watch the ads?

Personally, I know the issues and I know how the candidates stand on them.....Nobody likes negative ads, but, all candidates use them.

When MY party calls, I listen, lol...When the other party calls, I don't.

It all boils down to one thing though.....If you choose not to vote or be involved in the system, your credibility is nil when it comes to complaining about it.

Well Bob this made me adjust my seat in my chair. I don't complain about desicions that are made. I do follow what happens politically. And why do you assume I am complaining about the system. I'm complaining about say nothing ads on TV. Maybe if there was a candidate that stood for something I'd vote. How can I aviod the garbage if it's all political ads, all the time. Politicians are the lowest form scum. How many times do I need to hear that some candidate got a j walking ticket when they were 12. Show me an politician that didn't do something for Enron and I'll show you someone who wasn't in office.

Politics make me

. The other things that bothers me is your assumption that I may not know what goes on. If I said that please post it. All I said was I don't vote based on the way politicians say nothing.

Well, the reason I made the assumption that you don't know what people stand for is because you said:
