Will Airtran allow you to change departure cities?

I just checked my Airtran itinerary. They have changed my flight times and there is no possible way that there change will work. We are flying home out of Jacksonville with a stop in Atlanta. The flight from Jacksonville arrives in Atlanta at 9:35 PM. The flight home leaves Atlanta at 9:00 PM. How do they expect us to make a connecting flight that leaves 35 minutes before the flight we are arriving on even gets to Atlanta????

I have looked at the other flights out of Jacksonville and am not happy with the times. There are a few flights out of Orlando that would work for us.

Has anyone tried to get them to change departure cities if the time changes do not work for you? Did it work? Do you think it is possible?

AirTran is VERY flexible and cooperative when they change flight schedules. Find one or more options that work for you, then call them.

Yes, they will, but you may have to be persistent! I had a flight booked out of Flint, Mi and my flight changed by a couple of hours! Not getting in til 11 pm at night, which was to late for young kids! So I wanted to change it to Buffalo, NY They kept telling me I could only change to Detroit because of the area! I called back and said, I didn't want to drive to Detroit, but I would drive to Buffalo! For us, It is 8 hours to Flint, and about 7.5 to Buffalo, the fares and times out of Flint were better at the time when I booked! When they changed the times, Buffalo became the better choice, so it worked out better for me! It took about 3 phone calls, and 1 email and I got the change I wanted! It can't hurt trying!
