Will a discount be offered for the deluxe plan?

Every year, Disney offers that disount for packages if your travel dates are until December that you can use a code for. I was able to get $300 off my package for the MYW plus dining plan in 2006. I'm just curious if anyone thinks they may offer a code for the deluxe plan next year or do you think they won't do any disounts for the deluxe plan because it is new? It would be great to save some $$$ since the deluxe plan is expensive.

Well the current discounts are off room rates not off dining package. But when they had the bounce back at the hotels that just ended, the one that is for next years Hurricane season, they offered free regular dining or reduced Deluxe Dining.

I booked a package and included dining...first time ever and when a code came out I used it and saved over $500! Of course, it is not deluxe dining, but hey!

I went from staying at a value to staying at a moderate for the same price!

In the past, they've had two discounts. One could be used for room only and the other could be used with the dining plan.Your room was discounted but you paid full price for the dining plan.

I don't see why they wouldn't do the same next year.

Let's say the discount was for 40% off of the rack rate. You could book that as a room only reservation. OR you could make it a package. Your package would be 40% off of the room rate, your full price park passes and your full price dining plan. (base or deluxe)

So since the discount is for the room, I'll probably still be able to get it even with the deluxe plan if its offered next year then!!! Cool! I always thought the discount was for the package itself.

I emailed my AAA agent today about that, and this is what she said...

When Disney puts a special out, they are actually discounting the hotel portion of the package. Unless it is the Dining FREE Promo (for Sept. travel) or the Hopper & Water Park Promo (going on now).

So I don't think you can get the Dining Plan discounted...but you could put money you are saving towards that!

The Future Stay package that was available to onsite Guests this past late August/September for about the same period next year included the basic Dining Plan free, or the Deluxe plan for $32 per adult per night. The discount of $37.99 is equal to the cost of the basic plan.
