We will have 2 29", 2 25", and 1 20" suitcase. 2 adults and 2 children. Would a Pontiac Grand Prix really hold all of this luggage? Right now I have a Jeep Liberty reserved but am considerring a Pontiac Grand Prix as I can save about $70?

Will the Grand Prix hold everything or do we need something even larger than the Liberty?

Thanks in advance!

It might be a tight fit. Keep the Jeep Liberty is my advice.

I wouldn't worry so much about the luggage fitting in your vehicle as I would about those 29" pieces going over weight limit on your flight........it's very easy for those babies to get up over 50 lbs. It may end up costing you more than the $70 you would save on the car.......maybe think about taking some smaller pieces. We haven't used our 29" piece for a few years now just for that reason.....the last time we used it we ended up transferring some stuff at the airport to avoid the overweight fees.......I'd rather take a few smaller pieces than do that again.

I agree with the previous poster. It will be tough with a Grand Prix getting all that luggage in.

I have taken a 29" on all of our past several trips. I have not had to pay any overweight charges. I weigh it before I leave home and it's usually between 45 and 49 pounds. Pack carefully and you should be able to use it.

You should be able to fit a small suitcase in between the kids in the back too!! $70 in your pocket for dinners etc. Take it. I am doing the same thing...I figure I can strap someone or something to the roof :lmao:
You only have to worry for to and from the airport the rest of the time your fine. I was actually considering a compact.:scared1:

I think you are going to have a tight fit even in the Jeep Liberty. We just returned from WDW on Friday. We had a Jeep Liberty through Alamo and we had three suitcases. Not sure about the sizes, but I think two 29" and one
25". I don't think we would have been able to get five suitcases in that car. You will definitely have to put one suitcase between the children in the back seat.

I don't think there is anyway you will get all that in a Pontiac Grand Prix.

I'd seriously doubt that you will be able to fit that amount of luggage in a Grand Prix without inconveniencing your kids, or even possibly your front seat comfort. I'd also agree with one of the other posters that you might have problems with a Jeep Liberty.

I have a 05 nissan altima that is about the same size as a grand prix. It should fit but it will be tight.
