Will 5 days be enough time?

This is our first trip to US/IOA. We will be there for 5 full days. Will we have enough time to go to both parks and also SW? And then have time to lounge around the pool at PBR? I was going to buy my tickets to SW ahead of time through AAA, but I think I will wait until we are there just to see how much time we have.

Any suggestions? It took me awhile to talk DH into changing our vacation routine - which has been the same for 12 years. I want my whole family to have fun, and see as much as possible, but not if I have to be a drill sergeant.

Five days is definitely a good amount of time to stay onsite at Universal. You can do a park apiece the first two days, SeaWorld the third, and back to your two favorites the last day with one day to just lounge around the resort.

With Universal Express there is no rushing, no early entry races, just easy access to your favorite rides. It is beyond awesome and I know you'll enjoy it!

Have fun!

If I suggested that we stay at the hotel 1 day just to veg out, DD and DH would lock me in the bathroom and haul a$$ outta there. I also am going to have 5 days, but could only afford HOjos accommodations. We agreed that this would be better than 2 days at HArd Rock... We'll still have a blast Im sure, as all we really want from a hotel is a clean bed and bathroom:cool:

Thanks for the info. We would not just hang around the hotel room. But my 2 DS 9, 13, will want their time at the pools.

I really appreciate all the info I have received from this board. I am so excited - I do not think I can wait 2 more months.

That is definately enough time. The very first time we ever went, we stayed at PBH. Since you have FOTL access we did 2 parks in 2 days, riding our favorites 3 and 4 times and had time for the great pool. Universal is much more contained than WDW and the FOTL access saves a tremendous amount to time. There is much less walking than WDW, you will be surprised how much you can cover in a day!

We stayed at the RPR for 6 nights. We bought the five day tickets for both parks on line for $89. This was perfect! we went to the parks in the morning and hit the pool every afternoon. Nights we went to the parks or stayed at the pool.

Now that sounds like a good plan. Everyone in my family should go along with those plans.

Thanks!:D

Hi there...

We did 5 nights last year and had a great time...

We would either go to the parks in the morning and come back about 2pm for swimming... or we would swim at the hotel in the morning and not go to the park until 1-2pm in the afternoon.

We spent one day at Discovery Cove and went to City walk for a movie in the evening... you will have a fun, relaxing time!

Thanks,
The more I hear from everybody the better I feel about having plenty of time.

I visited your website. That was great. I love looking at pictures. Since we have never been there the more I see the more excited I get.

Thanks again:teeth:

I think your plan is terrific! The first time we went to USO we didn't plan a non-park day and never even used the pool at the Portofino! Now, on our third day we plan a non-park day. We sleep late, have a big buffet breakfast, play at the pool and soak in the hot tub...ahhhhh.
