I'm sorry if there is a thread for this but couldn't find it. We were thinking of going to DLP we have a 8 year old and 2 year old, we weren't sure if the 2 year old would enjoy it. Can anyone please tell us if 2 years is too young and if they have any tips on taking a 2 year old and keeping both kids happy there with such a big age gap. Thanks

Hi unicorn13 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Yes your 2 year old will find lots of things to enjoy. There are plenty of rides that are suitable depending on what level of thrills they like.

Fantasyland will be your most visited part of the park I suspect :)

Our son was 21 months when we took him last October and he absolutely loved it! He was a bit shy with the first character he met - Winnie the Pooh - but after that there was no stopping him, he had his photo taken with everyone! His fave rides were Buzz Lightyear, the Carousel and of course It's A Small World - he still sings the song now. We're taking him back in November and I can't wait to see his little face when he realises where we are :)

If you have any more questions about taking a toddler then I'm sure there are lots of us to help.

I think you can enjoy DLP if you are 2, 22 ,42 or 82.

And the best thing about taking a 2 year old is that you will definitely have to take them back when they are older so they can go on the rides that they were too small for the this time.........

You will all love the rides in Fantasyland, especially "It's A Small World".

Hi Unicorn, I've just come back from DLP, my youngest ds is 21mths. He loved it. There were only about 5 or 6 rides that he couldn't go on. Be prepared for 6foot tall chipmunks (or whatever the 1st character is that you meet) to scare your 2 yr old! But once they're used to them, they'll love it. ds2 was kissing Mickey & Donald by the end of the trip. He also loved the parades, and he was fixed to the spot waving throughout, and now listening to the cd claps and waves and dances to it. They're a great way to get them used to the characters if a little wary at first.

Thanks :thumbsup2 :flower3: i have wanted to go to Disneyland any were for years so just need to sort out when hubbys leave is then get book. thanks again.

We took my then 20 month old niece in April & she loved it. We introduced her to the characters in the Studios first to get used to them as it is usually quieter there. After meeting Pluto and running over to Stitch she loved it:goodvibes
