wildress sedway tour question

I was told someone here could answer a question on the tour. We have a famiy member was is very afraid of lizards would he finds this tour hard to do or forget it. is there much of a grass area to walk to where it starts? Any anwers would be most helpful.

Sorry to say, but you are going to have lizards everywhere, not just FW.

Yes - down here in Florida, the little lizards are everyplace! You will see them next to, and even in the middle of, all the walkways -- in the parks and at the resorts. They do not bite, and will scurry to get out of your way. They are completely harmless.

Tell him to not let the lizards keep him from doing the Segway Tour. At least, he'll be up off the ground!

we know that fla has them but does the tour have more and would it be hard for someone to walk to the tour? thank you

actually you see them more on sidewalks then you do in the grass. I think the fun your having on the tour will keep you from seeing anything else. you could also do the Epcot segway tour if your unsure. be sure to make ressies. at Epcot do first one of the day before park opens.

thank you, we did the ecpot one had no problems except for some kids jumping in front of the sedways to make us fall off.

the ecpot one was no problem at all. he think of the wildress one as more of a problem.

We did the tour in Jan. and did not see one lizard. They have to be around but from the segway you just wouldn't notice them. I think I enjoyed the Epcot tour a little more but both were fun!

They are EVERYWHERE! Actually one got in my house an hour ago and the kids have been chasing it around trying to get it out.

To the OP- IMHO you will not encounter any more lizards on the way to this tour or during this tour than you would at Epcot, or anywhere else on WDW property. The walk from the Settlement bus stop to the pavilion where you start the tour is on asphalt, and a mulch trail.

I didn't see any on the FW Segway tour either and I was looking for all kinds of critters. But at our campsite, that's a different story. I would wake up every morning to cute little lizard silhouettes on my tent.

When I was a kid, we used to catch lizards (I am a Florida cracker) and give them a little squeeze so they would open their mouths and then use them for earrings. They would stay on for a good 20 minutes! Yeah, it hurt, so what?
They are nothing to be afraid of.
