We wanted to go on the 7 day magic next Aug 2005 in FLA, ended up with the 4 day Wonder. Trying to make up for not going on the 7 day DCl. We would like to stay at Wilderness Lodge for 4 days before our cruise, How soon should I make reservation at WL? Also how can I get the best rate at Wilderness Lodge??Our cruise DCL wonder is allready booked.... I am not looking for the land and sea deal.. Just room only at WL... THANKS.....

You can book now, but you would be charge rack rate. If you book a room only reservation you will have to leave a deposit worth one night then pay nothing until you check in and you can cancel up to 5 days before. But be careful you don't book through WDW Travel Company. They mostly do packages and the deposit for that is $200 but you have to pay in full by 21 days before (I think) and you must cancel 45 days before or you are charged.

As for getting the best rates, you can see if they can apply a AAA discount now (if you're a member) or you can wait for codes that get released about 3 months before you go. If you have a room booked and codes come out, you can simply apply the code to your existing reservation. Just remember that codes are NOT guaranteed to happen.
