On a waitlist for the BCV
but got a reservation at the Wilderness Lodge...
1. What is it like?
2. Can you catch a boat from the Wilderness Lodge to MK? or only by bus?

it is very nice. we loved it. it has an atmosphere of its own, and I liked that it wasn't in the center of all the traffic like BCV. it is more relaxed - which is what we needed when we went.

the back of VWL is on the lake, though I don't remember if there was a boat that went to MK.

Yes there is a boat to MK, very efficient and nice ride across the lake, VWL is a great atmoshere, you will enjoy it a lot. If it were me I would cancel the BCV waitlist and not hesitate to stay at VWL, you will not be disappointed.
