I just received a call from WDW reservations stating that there was a problem at WL, and they weren't sure it would be resolved by the time we check in on 4/5/08. They were offering to move our reservaton to another resort now, or it may be potluck when we checked in. We are a "Magical Gathering" so I had to confer with the others in our party about a move. We are now staying at the Polynesian with no increase in cost. Anybody else get a call like this, or does anyone know what the problem is at WL. All the men in our party wanted to know what the problem was, like they could fix it when we got there LOL. They were told that tool belts are not on our packing lists.

take it ! The poly is a huhe upgrade from the WL.
I dont know what the issue is though.

You will love the Poly! You can watch Wishes from the beach! Easy access to TTC!

I'm curious too as to what the problem is/was. Let us know if you find out. I'm due to check in on April 18, and would LOVE to be upgraded to the Poly even tho I love the WL. I'll be staying there again the week after Thanksgiving anyway.

We are staying at WL in July. Never stayed there before and am looking forward to it but wouldn't mind a free upgrade to the Poly. Could stay at WL some other time.

Darn. I KNEW I should have booked WL instead of BW!!! Maybe I will see you somewhere! We are at the World 4/2 - 4/13 (except for a quick trip to see my son in Jacksonville over the weekend).

Wonder what the issue is too? We check in on the 9th & it's our first stay ever at a Deluxe. Any ideas anyone????

With Spring Break it could be as simple as the Lodge was overbooked for your dates, there might be a few rooms that are out of service and since you had several rooms booked is was best to move one group rather than two or three families.

Have a wonderful vacation you'll love the Polynesian.

Wow, I love WL, but wouldn't mind a *free* upgrade to Poly! Enjoy your time there.

The WL is a great resort, but you will love the Poly We've stayed at both WL and Poly and like them both alot, but you can't beat the FREE upgrade

Did they give you a choice of resorts or just offer the Poly? Just curious if you got a choice...

We just arrived back home from a 5 night stay at VWL.There was no signs of any construction or any postings of things to come. May be they just overbooked.
