We Would Like To Stay At Wilderness Lodge In December 2008. My Fiancee Only Wants To Stay In The Main Building. Is There Anyway

I don't think I understand this question ... all of the rooms at the Wilderness Lodge are in the main building. There's only one building - the rooms are all connected to the lobby via various hallways.

The Wilderness Lodge Villas are in a separate building next door to the WL. Are you maybe confusing the two?

There's only one building! There are wings, but the difference is literally 30 seconds of walking and its all indoors like a standard hotel. The wings are actually preferable as the food court is kind of in a wing, and they dont over look the lobby, which would be the only slightly noisy part of the hotel (its not that noisy, particularly at any time in the evening).

If you are wanting a room that opens out to the lobby, those rooms would (for the most part) be either standard view or courtyard view. You would need to request when you make your reservation that you want a room that opens onto the lobby.

Personally, I prefer being closer to the lake, as there isn't as much noise from people walking past your room.

When you book , a standard room is above the check in area in the lobby, a woods view in the lobby is above the Whispering Canyon restaurant and there are a few courtyard view rooms that open up into the main lobby. Just put a request in that you would like your room in the main lobby. I have never had any trouble getting a main lobby room as I always like to stay in those rooms

I'm not sure the OP has seen the layout, all these categories are still in the main building.

I've been inquiring about rates recently at the WL. Have stayed there MANY times. We've stayed in almost every view available. However, the reservationists don't always give me a rate at the WL..they give me a quote on a rate at the Villas. I have to point out to them, that I want the rate at the WL not the villas. Perhaps this is adding to the confusion of the OP. If she or he was given a rate at the villas..of course being in a seperate building. Having stayed at the resort I was aware of the discrepancy, and pointed it out to them, but his has happened twice already. Either that..or they are pushing the Villas...?

The rooms are are all in the main building. We were there in April and loved it. I also liked that the hotel is not as large as the BWI, so moving around the resort was quick and easy.
