wilderness lodge worth the price?

I just wanted to update on my own question: yes, it was worth the price!! We stayed at WL for 3 nights in October and it was awesome! i am in love with it now. It was so relaxing and the boat was great. I am so happy I upgraded.

I'm so glad you took the plunge! We were at WL over Spring Break last month and after at least 10 trips to WDW it is our favorite resort so far. I agree, it is SO relaxing to go back to this peaceful resort after a busy day at the parks! We all just loved it.

Glad you had a great stay and loved the WL. The WL is a beautiful resort and is one of our favorites :goodvibes.

Just got back from Wilderness Lodge...... At first, I did not see the value of staying at this resort. We were there for 2 nights celebrating our anniversary. Then on Saturday night, I decided to sit on the beach :beach: and watch the video (Gnomeo and Juliet). The water pageant floated by. Then a little later, the fireworks from Magic Kingdom went off. It was wonderful.... That one experience made me change my mind. I would stay there again....

Love WL and its a must for anyone with babies or toddlers -- rocking chairs in the lobby!!

WL was my first deluxe, the hotel I had wanted to stay at ever since I could remember. 2 years ago, my DH surprised me with a stay there and I was in LOVE!!! just to be so close to it all was amazing.....glad you liked it

You can watch the water parade at WL as well.

The busses are efficient, never full in my experience, the ride to MK is 5 minutes long. WL was our first WDW on site stay, wish I knew about the bus service to MK that first time, would have saved us a lot of wasted time on the dock.

Yeah, you're hooked now hehe. After staying at a deluxe resort, its hard to go back. You're going to love BC location as well. Walking to epcot and short boat ride or even a stroll to HS. Awesome!!

Getting so excited to go back in December!! Our very first visit last year we stayed at WL and when we decided to go back in December, the kids voted for it. I loved it but was willing to try something new....even showed the kids storm along bay but NO...they wanted WL so WL it is!!!!

I know the poster already has the answer to her question.....but one of the things I loved is that it was all indoors. I didn't mind if my 10 year old and 6 year old walked downstairs to get snacks together or refill on drinks. We were right next to the elevators on the 4th floor. We loved watching the fireworks each night from the balcony...and my kids LOVED the bunk beds. It works out great for each kid to have their own space with their owns stuffed animals and no kicking each other etc.

I can't imagine staying anywhere else at Disney!!

SO GLAD to hear all of these positive reviews of WL!!! We just booked a split stay there in July along with POFQ. I'm so excited, even more so now! :cool1:

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort. The theming, lobby, landscaping, on the lake, boat to the Magic Kingdom. If it isn't going to break the bank to upgrade to a deluxe than I would say; Go for it.
