we're staying at the Villas at WL on our next trip. I'm trying to find out what's in the kitchen - paper goods, what kind of coffee maker, any dry condiments etc? anything you wish you had brought or anything you were suprised was there.

also, I think there's a washer dryer - was there laundry soap there or did you buy it?

we'll have a 1 bedroom unit.

TIA!!

When we stay in DVC units, I always take our own coffee because neither of us likes the coffee provided. Maxwell House sells a box with filter packs already loaded with coffee -- very convenient. I take travel size bottles of Woolite and dryer sheets for the laundry. Everything else we just buy at the resort's shop. We don't do any cooking, though, just light meals.

I agree with krbq and bring my own Maxwell house filter paks. There are no condiments in the room, but we have been known to go the "Roaring Forks" snack bar for a few supplies (ie: ketchup & mayo paks, sugar). The Merchantile store has a good selection of staples including beer/wine & some liquor. I think you can purchase extra laundry detergent from Mousekeeping for a few $$. The washer/dryer are the stackable kind and are very loud.

The pots/pans, dishes and glasses are very well stocked. I once had to call Mousekeeping to ask for a new pan. The teflon was peeling on the frypan. They replaced all the cookware with new!

I love WLV, hope you do too. It is very peaceful. Don't forget to go down to the waterfront and watch the Electric Water Parade. Have a great time.

Just a reminder....only the 1 and 2 bedroom units have a washer and dryer...the studios do not. Studios only have a moderate stash of paper plates and bowls and plastic silverware for dishes, a mini frig, microwave, toaster and coffee pot.

The 1 and 2 BR's have full kitchens with pretty much everything you need.

another coffee question - what kind of filters do they use - cone or those wavy ones? we were going to bring our own coffee too! :flower:

have i mentioned that you guys ROCK!!!

we're so so looking forward to our stay. ::MickeyMo

The filters are regular 10-12 cup type that you will need, not the cone type.

We wish we would have brought salt and pepper. You can get the tiny packets at the Roaring Forks, though.

Detergent is provided, and is fine. Dryer sheets are not.

Enjoy your visit!

Someone recommended to me bringing a king fitted sheet. I am very grateful that they did! Those beds are made with flat sheets and they ball up like crazy! If you are an active sleeper consider bringing a fitted sheet!
