Which view would you request at the Wilderness Lodge??

  • INNER COURTYARD: to see the lake, geiser, main pool, etc.

  • MAGIC KINGDOM: to see the fireworks and castle.

We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge in 9 days, on the concierge floor. On that floor, you can't book a specific view; you basically get whatever is available. You can request a particular view, but you can't guarantee it.

So I'm wondering.... if you had a choice, and the price was the same (as it is on the concierge floor), which view would you request?????

I'm curious, because I've requested an inner courtyard view, but I think that many people request a Magic Kingdom view.

Thanks! :sunny:

Terry - in 2001 we stayed 6nights in the WL w/inner courtyard view. We were out on the righthand side of the U. On our 6th day we added on another 3 nights, took the DVC tour and bought into DVC w/VWL as our "home"
You can see part of the fireworks from the beach. Also from the 5th floor (I believe its the 5th floor) corner windows in a public hallway.
We were able to watch the Electric water parade from that inner courtyard view.

48 more days till we're there again. Have a great vacation!

This past March, we had a 4th floor room (woodsview) overlooking the Otter pond with a good view of the castle, monorail to CR and the fireworks! It was awesome! :cheer2: I would love to have this room again! :cheer2:

We had a woodsview room in May and it sure was nice watching those fireworks at night. But...the inner courtyard is sooo beautiful. The woodsview was pretty private, whereas people that are swimming can look up and see your balcony if you're located in the "horseshoe". Also, it's pretty great to look out over the lake and see the EWP. (We had the best of both worlds, room 4001 on the end of the building overlooking the boat dock. We had to lean a little to see the fireworks, but had a great view of the EWP.) TOUGH decision. By the way, Seaspray, for what it's worth, we stayed at CBR a couple years ago and on your recommendation and from reading your posts, we requested (and got) Martinique Bldg 25 and it was great! Thanks!

We stayed at WL on the 6th floor looking toward MK. My DH and I truly enjoyed watching Wishes each night from the balcony - the kids loved the bunk beds. It was so peaceful in the mornings too. (Other than the werewolf howling from the Haunted Mansion)

We are hoping for the same floor and view on our upcoming trip in 2 weeks!

in May we had 5028 it was MK view, Fireworks, plus for our family we got the see the monrail go by to and from contemp. Also were near the elevator and had nice short walk to Roarking Forks
