I'm seriously thinking of buying a resale DVC unit at Boulder Ridge. I was wondering if there was a separate bus stop for that part of the resort? Is the transportation to the parks is good from Wilderness Lodge? Do they have direct bus service to the water parks? Thanks guys!

No, but the main bus stop is in between the Boulder Ridge villas and the main Lodge. The boat dock is further away.

Personally, I think it is. We had great luck with buses. They do share sometimes. In my experience, Magic Kingdom was the only direct bus. Epcot shared with Fort Wilderness. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom shared with the Contemporary, I think. It didn't add a whole lot of extra time to the trip nor did we ever miss out on a seat. It stopped at the Lodge first then the other spots.

Do they have direct bus service to the water parks?

As far as I know, most of the direct buses to water parks has ended. The only one I know of is from Coronado to Blizzard Beach and that may not be consistent. You will either have to transfer or take a taxi.

1. One bus stop for the entire resort.
2. When we stayed at Wilderness Lodge, buses were shared with other resorts, which made things take longer, but that was several years ago and may have changed.
3. There is no longer direct bus service to the water parks from any resort. Read the following for details:

Thanks so much for sharing! I stayed at Caribbean Beach last April, and we had six stops at least before we got to park! Sounds much more efficient at Wilderness Lodge.

Yikes! WL is more efficient because there is no internal bus system. And even when it shared buses with other resorts, it shared with one or two resorts, not five.

Haha good! How was boat transportation to Contemporary and Magic Kingdom?

The boat to and from MK is very nice. On the way back one night, we watched the Electric Water Pageant from the water.

The boat to the Contemporary also goes to Fort Wilderness, which makes it easy to do activities there, such as Hoop Dee Doo Revue dinner show, horseback riding, bicycling, carriage rides, etc.

I've heard that there is a walking path from WL to Fort Wilderness, too, but am not sure & have never used it.

Thanks again! What time do boats start in morning and end at night?
