This is my first time staying at WL and I'd like to visit Ft. Wilderness while there. I understand there is boat service to Ft. Wilderness - from the map of Ft. Wilderness it looks lik the boat landing is near Pioneer Hall/Trails End restaurant. I'm wondering if this is a really easy trip for breakfast one day? Thanks :flower:

There is also a very nice walking path between Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness. Although it is a 15 minute walk, during the early morning, you will see multiple deer and other little critters. Also, it will be great to "walk off" that big breakfast at Ft. Wilderness :-)

I agree with Carol. It's a really beautiful walk through the woods.
I would boat over and walk back or vice versa.

The boat itself is great, and relaxing. My only concern is I don't know how far the walk is from the FW boat dock to Trails End. If I'm right, I think it's not a long walk. FW is big enough that it has its own internal bus service, though, so that is an option if it's a long walk.

Editing to say this was my 500th post! I'm a "DIS Cast Member" now. Yippee!

Take the bus!
You get it towards the left hand side of the front of the resort(WL). Quick and easy. Once you are at FW there are numerous bus stops. Just be sure to ask the driver if it's the right one to take you where you want to go. We almost got on the wrong one after the campfire! :rolleyes1
