Wilderness lodge to Fort Wilderness

Im going to the wilderness lodge and will be seeing the hoopdedoo review at Fort Wilderness. How do I get to fort wilderness from the Lodge?

Can I walk? Does the MK shuttle go there?

I believe that there is a boat launch from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness Campground. I have not gone there this way, but I think it is fairly easy to accomplish. Just be sure to avoid the boat heading to MK.

There is a boat and a bus that both run between WL and Fw

There is also a trail that runs along the lakeside; it is a pretty walk, but long, and I don't think it is lit at night.

The trail is a nice bike ride. I wouldn't ridewalk it at night. I would take the bus or boat.

It's very easy. Take either boat (green or blue). The walk from the dock is very short. You can also take the FW internal bus as it makes a stop at WL. I'm not familiar with the stops at FW, so I can't help you there.

We took the trail over and the boat back. The trail is roughly a mile long. When you get to the "end" proceed straight across the first open space, then turn left. We went to the 5:00 show but in Dec it is dark afterward. I was pleasantly surprised to find the boat was not at all crowded on the way back.

If you plan to ride the bus back, ask before the show where to wait for it, so you are not wandering around in the dark wondering where to go afterward.

VERY GOOD KIMMIE! You remembered that the green switches directions in the afternoon and goes from WL to FW before MK. Most wouldn't have caught that.
