I've read about the sleigh rides at wilderness lodge and thought it sounded really neat. I called today and noone seemed to know what i was talking about at WDW. Can anyone confirm the number i should call for this and also how far out can you make reservations for this??????? Does it usually book up fast??? Also if anyone's done it what did you think??

So it should be around the 90 days mark for early Dec. people. Has anyone else tried to book one of these yet? Any recommendations on the best time to get? Would it be better to get the first reservation of the night so it might be partly light out or would it be more festive later in the night when it is all dark outside? :)

I've tried to reserve one a couple of times over the last week (most recently on Wednesday), and was told both times that they're not in the computers to book yet. As I have booked one in the past at my 90-day mark with no problems, I'm wondering what the hold-up is.

I also tried to book the sleigh rides this past week & got the same story....not in the system yet for booking. :confused3 Any info would be appreciated. DD is going to be very disappointed if I miss the opportunity to book.

Thanks!
Cheryl

I just booked 12/17 before our dinner at California Grill. I couldn't decide if earlier or later would be best? Right now we are at 6pm, which I was hoping might be around sunset in December? Anyone know?

We booked a WL sleigh ride three or four days ago. It's for Dec. 18th at 5p.m. We had no problems booking through the recreation line at 407-wdw-play.

Silly question - is it $35 per person or for the ride in total? I want to look into it if it's $35 total, but I'm not sure I want to spend $140 for the four of us for 25 minutes.

Thanks!

$35 total :thumbsup2

The $35.00 is for the group, not per person.

I am so happy!!! DH and I will be celebrating our 11th Wedding Anniversary during our trip. I booked the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 6pm and ordered a special cake for dessert. I also booked a 9:30 pm Sleigh Ride that night and I am so looking forward to it. We haven't done one before and I think it will be pretty romantic and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary!

I just booked our sleigh ride for Christmas night! All they had left was 9:30pm, I am so happy :woohoo:

Has anyone been on a sleigh ride this year yet? Just looking for any reviews/comments? :)

Did anyone watch the Samantha Brown special last night? Was the sleigh she was on, the one from Wilderness Lodge?

DH and I went on the first night - 12/1, at 5:30 p.m. We thought it was great - very relaxing and peaceful, and our drivers were very nice. :thumbsup2

I had initially booked a late ride, and then rescheduled for one of the earliest times to allow us more time for dinner that night. In hindsight, I was really glad it was dusk during our ride - we could see the beautiful forests we were riding through (I'm hoping some of DH's pictures turned out), as well as all the deer! If we had been late, I'm imagining it's just pitch black. While that might be a tad more romantic, I think we ultimately enjoyed taking in the views more.

Hi, Janet! I haven't watched the special yet (DVR'ed it, but there's just no time to view it right now!), but I imagine it would be. I don't think there are any other sleigh rides but the ones at WL. I hope you guys enjoy your one on Christmas!

Thanks for the report! I would love to see your pics when you get a chance! :)

Thanks Lindsay! Look forward to seeing your pictures :)
