On the subject of towel animals, I decided to leave a note for Mousekeeping after day 1 of no animals letting them know we love the towel animals and asking specifically for them. We had animals daily after that so maybe it's a thought to let them know you want them. It worked for us - plus we tip nicely too.

My family and I have stayed at WL twice, most recently in August of 2014 and never been disappointed! We love it there and definitely recommend to anyone!

I should point out that no towel animals does not mean bad housekeeping. Bad housekeeping means unmade beds, uncollected room service trays and towels, and so on. Towel animals are nice but no substitute for a clean room.

We love WL too. But I'm sad to hear they're adding DVC bungalows here too along the shoreline :-( one of my fav things to do at WL is to stroll along the nature path to FW. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, and I've seen deer freq. guess no more.

It sounded like room wasn't cleaned very well, with dirty cups not taken away.

Thanks for the honest review. This is one of the resorts I really want to stay at. Trying to convince my DH we should switch to this resort for our October trip.

We just got back (room 4141) and the only complaint I had, was how loud the loud speaker was during pool party time. I am deaf in one ear and still it was so loud that I have trouble taking naps.

Great review. The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite Disney Resort. I stayed there a few times with my parents growing up and had a wonderful time there as a kid. Just last year my Boyfriend and I stayed there and it was also lovely as an adult.

Thanks for the detailed review! We are staying for the first time at WL in early July 2015. It looks like such a beautiful resort and so close to our favorite park MK. Can't wait!
