Wilderness Lodge Question?

We are dropping by WDW for 4 nights in late June after our cruise. I booked a standard view room at Wilderness Lodge, but I am having second thoughts due to the ongoing construction. I've read the thread about the construction so I have an idea what we would be in for, but I am looking for some opinions from people who have recently visited.

Was the construction bad enough that it affected your enjoyment? Would upgrading to a courtyard view room help to avoid construction areas? Any feedback would be appreciated.

We stayed at Christmas and the construction did not phase us at all. We heard no noise. No dust. We were in the villas. The staff were lovely and we loved the resort. I would book again without a hesitation.

Keep in mind that construction can change by the day, so you really need to know your own tolerances and limits. If you are mostly spending time at the pool, you may be fine, or if you will be on the boat early and not coming back until late. If you like sitting on a balcony with wine, you may have more impact.

Just returned (didn't stay at lodge like we normally do)...heard people complaining about the noise and the lobby being partially blocked off. That being said, it could change tomorrow...not sure they'd tell you if you call and ask but it might be worth a shot...

My husband and I were there in Dec and had a view of the pool and never had a problem with the construction. The only thing that was a bit disappointing but didn't destroy my trip was the light parade couldn't be viewed at the beach but I was able to see it from the pool area so that was just fine with me.
