Thanks! You got some really nice shots. VWL is our home, so of course I'm a bit prejudiced!

Gorgeous photos Mojomanny! The WL is breathtaking! I get a good feeling not only being at this resort, but even just looking at the pictures. Thank you so much for sharing

BTW -- Your DCL photos are fantastic, too!

We will be there Friday - can't wait! By the way, was it hard to be a Flag Family!!

Oh boy - look at the countdown!!

Thank you for sharing. The pictures are great. My DS would love for us to be picked as the Flag Family. I'll have to show him your pictures.

How do you get to be Flag Family, and what is involved ?

Thanks for sharing. Congrat's on being the Flag Family. It is so peaceful up there and the view is just breath taking.

When you check-in, you can go to guest relations and ask to be Flag Family. It is a first-come, first-serve type of thing. You might get the dates to work out and then you might not. We tried I believe 3 other trips and finally was able to work the dates this last trip in October. If you are able to find a day that you are there and it is still open, you get to meet the Ranger and go to the top of WL to help hang the Flags. You can take wonderful pictures and then you also get a certificate saying you participated. We also said the Pledge once we hung the Flags. It was a wonderful experience.

Great pictures, Mojomanny! My husband and I honeymooned at the WL, and we are waiting to hear on a VWL DVC. Your pictures really capture the essence of the WL. Thank you for sharing.

WL is really a great place! May have to try and stay at VWL, it's pretty small though compared to SSR. How hard to get a ressie there if not your home? pirate:

Your pics from inside the lobby are beautiful. Can I ask how you got them? I always have trouble taking pics inside the Lodge- if I use a flash, they come out so dark you can't see anything. If I don't, they are blurry from my hands shaking. Did you use a tripod or something?

I use a tripod if I have one. If not I often will find an inanimate object like a railing, bench or something similar to rest the camera on. That avoids most of the potential movement.

AWESOME pictures!!!

How did you get to be the flag family? That looked like quite an honor.

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures...Our first trip "home" to the VWL is in December!

You ask the CM during check-in. That's about it and lot of luck. Dates were full during our last stay and we even got on the waiting list but nothing came up. Maybe next time for us.

Just wanted to add my thanks for sharing your photos. We're staying at the VWL for the first time in December and we can't wait!
