wilderness lodge or cbr?

We are going to disney world for our honeymoon at the end of august 2005. It's a little early, I know, but I love planning! Last year, for our first trip together we stayed at CBR and loved it. But for our honeymoon, I wanted something different, and am leaning toward wl, for cost and location. But I'm not sure if we will love it. Please help me decide.

wilderness lodge is a nice place, im going there (2nd time) this december for sort of the same thing...i say go for it, its something new, and its a deluxe, so you might find yourself some surprises for your honeymoon.

if I may ask, what made you decide on the WL for your second choice?

My DH and I spent our 15 night honeymoon at the WL in December of 99. It was amazing and we had the absolute best and most romantic time of our lives. It will be 5 years this year and we still reflect on it as the best trip of our lives.

We have stayed at CBR too. It was okay and we had a great time but it didn't even come close to our experience at the Lodge.

Ive stayed at both and definately would stay at WL and it's not too early to book if you know what you want. Wl offers boat transportation and the electrical water parade in the evening. To me it's cozy and would be perfect for a honeymoon trip.

The two have such a different feel - we have stayed at CBR and love it and we have vissted WL and thought it was beautiful but just not our style. We live in New England and although the NH White Mountains are gorgeous, we felt it was too close for comfort - we wanted something tropical which we found in CBR.

We decided this next trip to split our stay between CBR and POR which I had to fight with DH to get since if it were up to him, we would stay the whole 10 nights at CBR. You could always split your stay between the two resorts - we split our stay between CR and CBR in May of 2000. We stayed at CR first (believe it was the 14th floor with a view from the balcony looking right across at the lake and to the right was MK, which was only a 5 minutes walk away). We thought we would be very disappaointed when we arrived at CBR after being pampered at a deluxe but surprisingly, we loved it just as much if not more (believe it or not).

This resort is beautiful and romantic... Definitely, hands-down, no contest, period.

WL without a doubt! Great "lounge" (bar); Artist's Point restaurant -- excellent & upscale. Take the "little boats" around the lakes -- including over to CR -- take in Califnornia Grill there (upscale & excellent). Great pools & hot-tubs. Rent bikes & take to the trails. Nothing at CBR can compare.
