Wilderness Lodge in January

We are going to be at WL Jan 3-9. I have not been there since 2006, and was wondering if the scaffolding is down in the courtyard? What changes if any have they made to the pool in their recent pool renovation?

Also, does anyone know if the xmas decorations will still be up Jan3? When do they take them down?

I was there in Jan 05. It was the week after the first and the decorations were still up. If i remember correctly they may have been up to the middle of our stay which was a week and a half after new yrs. It was nice to look at the first day or so but me and my gf-now wife just wanted to hear the traditional wl music.

You mean they do not play the WL music loop during the holidays!?!?!?!?

Even after the holidays after the 1st of the year? I am not going to tell DH...he may want to cancel trip

Now, now don't be hasty. The Christmas music that they play is in the same genre as the music played throughout the year. I have been going to the WL at Christmastime for the last 10 years and love the music. It is very string instrument oriented and has that wild west feel to it just like the music they play at the other times of the year. I haven't been there since the pool renovations but I am thinking it was more of a cleaning/painting overhaul than a true renovation. Have a great time - I can't wait to go.

We were just at WL from 10/17-23. I saw no scaffolding. The pool was fully functional. I'd post a pic of it but I do not think I have a high enough post count to do so. They were also doing a little work around the pool bar building but it is mostly on the lake side. They were painting door trims and railings in the courtyard on 10/22 and 10/23 before we left.
